I was originally going to put together a list of the cigars I have in my daily-driver rotation. But “daily-driver” implies budget sticks, and I realized that what I reach for regularly aren’t necessarily budget sticks. Plus, the sticks I regularly smoke changes. So I thought I’d put together a list of the smokes I’m currently smoking the most often. This list will change over time.
| Cigar Name | My Thoughts | Purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Southern Draw Manzanita | This is a cigar that I actually have to control myself smoking too much. They’re so good, and such an easy smoke, that I find myself reaching for one at least a few times a week. | Buy here |
| La Aurora Preferidos 1903 Diamond | When I want sweet, Connecticut Broadleaf goodness – which is pretty often – this is my default. | Buy here |
| Trinidad Espiritu No. 2 | As much as I like the CAO Brazilia, this Brazilian-wrapped beauty has some serious character, and it’s insanely complex for such an approachable stick. | Buy here |
| La Gloria Cubana Intención | Like the Manzanita, this is a cigar I have to control myself from smoking too often. I originally gave it a 92, but it has just gotten better and better with time. | Buy here |
| Cayman Mariner Toro | This is my absolute favorite from Cayman Cigars. To me, it is one of the best expressions of a Dominican on the market right now. | Buy here |
| Partagas Valle Verde | If ever there was a sleeper cigar, the Valle Verde is it. This is a cigar that hits everything I like in a cigar. | Buy here* |
| Paul Stulac Post Script San Andres | This is a stick that I make sure to have on hand at all times. It’s bold and complex. It’s a $5 stick that smokes like a super-premium. | Buy here** |
| San Lotano Requiem Habano | Here’s another stick that I always have on hand. When I don’t want a heavy stick, or something that’s super-complex, this is what I’ll reach for. | Buy here |
| El Titan de Bronze Black Swan | This is a beautiful cigar and Cigar Page has really knocked it out of the park with the Black Swan program. My other favorite is the Joya de Nicaragua Black Swan. I have a bunch of both, but have been hitting the ETDB a lot as of late. | Buy here |
| Megilla MSA Salamone | This was a toss-up between this and the Megilla Miami. Both of those sticks have been go-tos as of late. But since I’m out of the Miami, | Buy here |
*That link points to JR Cigars which tends to be pricey. But I scored a couple of boxes when they had one of their outrageous stackable coupon sales. When they do, you won’t find better prices.
**I provided a link to Oak Glen Tobacconist because they have it in stock. I normally buy them from Miami Humidor, but they’ve been out of stock for a couple of months now.
