Ah… Nothing Like Getting a New Box of My Favorite Cigars!

Though I smoke lots of different cigars, my favorite cigar is the Martinez NYC Blend Queens. I just can’t get enough of these gorgeous little smokes! Down to my last couple from my original box last week, I ordered a box last Wednesday and they arrived on my doorstep yesterday.

There’s nothing like the feeling of getting a new box. Though I’ve been smoking for years, I couldn’t fathom buying whole boxes or even bundles before I got more into the hobby. But now, buying boxes and bundles is pretty much the only way I’ll go.

But there’s something about getting a box, a feeling that I don’t get when I get a bundle. It just feels more “special” because it’s a package in and of itself. Don’t get me wrong, it has no bearing on the taste, and frankly, boxes sometimes cost more than a bundle and I will go for a bundle if they’re available.

But in the case of my beloved Queens, there’s no bundle. They only have boxes of 25 and they come in a beautiful black-lacquered wooden box. It just feels more quality. Granted, the packaging is unsophisticated. They’re just cigars placed in the box. Compare that to my box of Oliva Serie V Melanio. The packaging is incredible! But still, coming in a box still makes it feel special.

But other than that, it’s nice to get a box because I know I’ll be stocked up for at least the next several weeks!
