Cigars That Are Off People’s Radar

I wrote about the Regius Sun Grown the other day and how much I loved it. Its box date year was 2017, so it had a few years of box aging before I even bought it. And based on that experience, I turned around and purchased two five packs and a couple of Exclusivo USA sticks.

I wasn’t expecting much considering that they were probably going to be newer sticks. But, when I opened up the box I could see that the cellophane on all the sticks was slightly brown. They weren’t as dark as the ones I bought from West Coast Cigars, but it is clear that these sticks had some age on them.

And maybe I’m wrong but I think these have so much age on them because, at least here in the US, the Regius brand isn’t well-known. So it is off people’s radars which means that stock will sit on shelves for a long time.

Now it very well could be that I’m just being a sucker and that the cellophane got stained because of wild humidity fluctuations. But inspecting these cigars, I don’t see evidence of that. You can usually tell if a stick has gone through wild fluctuations when the wrappers are uneven and the sticks are a little spongy. Not so in this case these sticks are solid with no soft spots. I am so excited to smoke these!
