Box-worthy? Fuckin-A!

Ahh… The genius that is AJ Fernandez! The more sticks I smoke that he blends, the more I’m convinced that he represents the pinnacle of cigar blending talent in the cigar world. Him and Pete Johnson of Tatuaje. Imagine what a collaboration between those two would be like. But I digress…

To be frank, while there are some great boutique cigars out there, when I smoke a production cigar like this I’m less compelled to try the latest, greatest, new-kid-on-the-block brands. This cigar is a fucking flavor monster and it can be had for just over five bucks a stick online! I tried it for the first time last night at West Coast Cigars, and not even halfway through the stick, I started searching online sites for a box.

It checks off all the boxes for me. Balanced and smooth, packed with flavor without being overbearing, produces tons of smoke without choking me. And it burns real slow.

While I sat in West Coast cigars last night I was transfixed. I couldn’t believe just how good this stick was! It’s remarkable that AJ can produce such marvelous cigars at affordable price points. The trend nowadays is more expensive means better. That’s bullshit of course because I have had cigars that cost three times as much that did not at all appeal to me.

But somehow AJ manages to produce some of the tastiest cigars I’ve ever had at price points let us mere mortals can afford.
