Two bucks a cigar? Fuggetaboutit! These little devils are so smooth and easy to smoke and so enjoyable that I will always have some – or a bunch – in my humidor. I’ve mentioned in the recent past that I love a great mild smoke and I’ve come to appreciate cigars wrapped in Ecuadorian Connecticut shade tobacco.
Yes, there’s a bit of spice in them, but not an immense amount. And these Inspirado Whites are right up my alley. The smoke stays mild throughout the smoke and only intensifies slightly in the last third. This is one that I smoke down to the nub because it’s so enjoyable to me!
I can see that this may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But as I write this post (while smoking this cigar), I’m thoroughly enjoying its mellowness. It’s funny that it smokes a lot like a Montecristo White. But the big difference between this stick and the Monte is that the draw is super-easy. To be honest, if it wasn’t for the taste, I’d probably be a little disappointed with this cigar as I prefer a tighter draw.
The fallout is that it’s very easy to get through this stick. I was done with it in less that forty-five minutes. A typical robusto with a tighter draw takes me nearly twice that long to smoke. And it’s not a construction issue. The stick is solid and incredibly smooth. I just don’t think there’s as much tobacco in it compared to others.
But hey! For two bucks a stick and for such a tasty treat, all can be forgiven!
