I was sitting in my backyard this morning having a gorgeous Martinez Queens with my morning coffee and doing some work when the thought struck me that there’s nothing like a great smoke in the morning waiting for the sun to come up!
I’m drinking fresh-ground South American coffee from Trader Joe’s that goes insanely well with the Queens. As I write this, the sun is just starting to peak over the horizon. It’s quiet. Even the birds are still roosting.
All this puts me in a contemplative but particularly good mood. I’m planning out my day. Looking at my calendar, I have meetings all morning long. So, this time of calm before the impending storm is a real comfort and gets my mind in a happy place.
Life is good.
