As I was researching cigars I came across many brands and one brand in particular kept on coming up in my searches. That was the Alec Bradley brand. I looked through many of the products that were offered on Cigars International but being new to the cigar world, I felt that Alec Bradley cigars we’re a little bit more pricey than I wanted to start with.
But then I came across this special where I could get a portable humidor with five Alec Bradley the lineage cigars. I totally pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did.
This stick is all about being medium body. It starts that way and only gets slightly stronger in the second half of the cigar. But the really cool thing about this cigar is like the Oliva Serie O, you don’t get a huge nicotine hit. That really pleases me.
Don’t get me wrong I love a strong tasting cigar but I don’t need to be bowled over by a bunch of nicotine. And this stick is packed with flavor. I taste marzipan, a little coffee, a sweet cream, with a toasty almost oaky finish.
This is also a nice, slow burner. Had to make one touch-up. The draw is perfect on this! And the construction is solid. Not spongy at all.
Like my beloved Oliva Serie O, I can have one of these everyday. That is how good the cigar is. Well, looks like I have my top three in the Oliva, this stick, and the CAO America Potomac. This might be number three only because its aroma is not quite as good as the other two. But it still beats the s*** out of a lot of cigars I’ve smoked.
Update 9/13/2023: I absolutely LOVE the finish on this cigar. It’s long and sweet, and when paired with some bourbon, it’s very pleasing. And like CAO America, the aroma of the smoke when it’s just sitting is amazing.
