There’s a reason why Oliva is my favorite cigar brand. I’ve had several of their blends and I haven’t had one that I did not love. The Serie O is another that I can now add to my list of favorites!
Everything I like in a cigar is present here. Notes of cocoa, leather, toast, nuts, and a hint of sweetness delivered in a smooth smoke that stays smooth down to the nub. Of all the Olivas I’ve had, this is hands down my favorite.
It’s amazing to me that its strength is rated at medium-bold. The smoke is so smooth that it feels more like a medium to medium-mellow. But truth be told, the smoke as smooth as it is is actually pretty strong so the rating is appropriate.
This is not an everyday smoke, at least for me. But I am resolved to have these in my humidor at all times. I have a lot of others, but this will be a go-to for me. Amazingly enough, my favorite Oliva premium cigar was the Serie V. I will always have a few of those on hand, but I will be stocking up on the Serie O!
