I’m usually not that big a fan of strong cigars. But this stick is so smooth that I’m going to have to make an exception. I’m smoking it right now with my nightcap of bourbon and bitters on the rocks and it is a perfect pairing!
I got this stick as part of a sampler for a Cigars International. I think they were five Diesel cigars. This is the only one that I have felt compelled to write about. It’s dark as its name implies, the smoke is filled with espresso, well done toast, unsweetened cocoa, and a hint of wet cedar.
And being a very strong cigar, it can hit you like a rock. For me it’s the perfect smoke to end the day.
This cigar is incredibly well constructed. It burns slow and even. There are no runners. This is what I would expect from a super premium cigar.
As to whether or not I’ll actually get a box of these, I’m not sure. But I will keep them on my radar. These are limited edition so I may just get a box. But unlike other people who I’ve claimed that this is their daily cigar, no way could I ever smoke this daily. It’s literally knocking me on my ass. That’s not a bad thing. But this is definitely not an everyday smoke for me.
