Not only will I buy these again, I think these will be a regular resident in my humidor. This is a cigar that punches well above its weight! Well it might not be the most sophisticated and complex tasting stick, what it has on offer is so enjoyable that I will always have some of these sticks in my humidor.

It’s one of those things that just hits every good spot. It has a medium body, and there’s a certain richness to the taste that totally appeals to me. I think it has something to do with it being Honduran. I don’t know why but I have always had an affinity for Honduran cigars.

For medium to medium -bold cigars, I have always preferred Honduran sticks. I’m not really sure why. They just appeal to me. It is the same way for Dominican cigars and mild smokes.

Look, I’m no expert. But I do know what I like and I really like these cigars. Right now I’m smoking one as I write this post, and I’m finding just how remarkable this is going with my bourbon on the rocks.

Funny thing is that I normally stick with robusto or Toro vitolas. But smoking this Churchill, it makes me think that this is the perfect size for this cigar. Maybe I will buy a 5 pack of larger ring gauge sticks to compare. But as it stands I do love this stick in this size.

Apparently, Gran Habano was all the rage back in the ’90s but they got lost in the mix of the burgeoning boutique cigar movement. I imagine that it was considered a super premium marque at the time, but now they’re considered middle of the road.

That said, they do have several super premium lines today. But this vintage 2002 cigar is actually considered a cheap cigar. Cigars International has been trying to move these things out of their inventory. I hope to snatch up a bunch.
