This is a genuinely nice cigar and I’m bummed that I didn’t pick up a couple of bundles at this price! But my humidor is full, and I have another thirty-five cigars on the way to me. So, it’s just as well that I didn’t score more! Oh well, there will be other deals out there.

This cigar starts mellow and stays mellow! And though you do get the buildup of tar in the last third, all it does is add a nice, chocolaty layer. Throughout the smoke, I get a base of marzipan; not sweet, but there’s an almond-like taste that permeates the palate. In the first third it’s prevalent along with a nice spiciness, but I think that can be attributed to using a punch cut. By the second third, I start getting some leather. The almonds are still there, and the spiciness mellows. By the final third, the marzipan has moved to the finish – very nice – and toast develops along with an increase in spice.

The burn is slow and even! Can’t wait to take one to the golf course!
